“Taste of Winter” is a goat in a knitted sweater holding a red mug in her hooves, set against a snowy mountain forest.
What the picture shows
The goat looks straight at the viewer with a hint of a smile. Between her curved horns sits a wreath of fir twigs, holly and red berries. She wears a pale knitted sweater with a high collar, decorated with a red star, sprigs of holly and small fir trees. In her hooves she holds a red mug with a white snowflake. Behind her stand firs under snow, on the right there is a wooden cabin with warm light in the windows, further back a mountain slope, and snow drifts through the air.
The beading is partial. Beads cover the horns, the wreath, the outlines of the ears, the curls of wool on the neck, the collar and the patterns of the sweater, the mug, the snow on the branches and the roof, the lights in the windows and the snowflakes. The face and the landscape stay printed on the canvas, so the soft wool next to the glossy beads looks three-dimensional, and the piece moves faster than a fully beaded one.

The pattern is printed straight on the canvas, so there is no counting: every bead goes on its own mark. It is easy to start with the wreath and the mug, where the colours are brightest, and leave the pale shades of the sweater for later. Gallery finishing is provided for, with no frame and no mat. The frame, easel, holly sprigs, pine cones, candle, scissors and the little decorative house in the photos are props for the shoot and are not part of the kit.
