Tela stampata per ricamo con perline (senza perline) «Lavanda»

“Lavender” is a summer still life on a white wrought-iron chair: lavender, yellow roses and a wooden crate with lettering.

What the picture shows

At the centre stands a terracotta-gold ceramic pot holding a full bunch of lavender, its spikes lilac and violet, its stems silvery green. Beside it lies a wooden crate with cut lavender heaped inside, a name pressed into the board in Latin letters. On the left a tall white enamel jug holds yellow roses and green leaves, with a small pot of pink flowers below it. To the right are a white wrought-iron chair with scrolled back, an ivy sprig on the yellow wall, a small bird and a woven nest. Coverage is partial: the lavender, roses, vessels, crate and bird are beaded, while the yellow wall, the ivy and the ironwork of the chair stay as print on the canvas.
