Perlenstickerei-Set Ikone auf Kunstleinwand „Heiliger Matthäus“
Beschreibung
«St. Matthew» shows the apostle and evangelist with a bound Gospel; this kit uses the fewest colours in the batch, and the image only gains by it.
What the picture shows
The apostle is shown to the waist, in three-quarter view. His hair and beard are white and wavy. A dark red himation is thrown over his shoulder, a green tunic beneath falling in a broad fold. His left hand holds a Gospel in a red binding with gold ornament, the right is raised to the chest with two fingers joined. The halo is golden, with a beaded ornamental arch and the name cartouche above. Face, beard and hands stay printed on the canvas, as does the cream embossed ground — the beading is not solid.
What is in the kit
- Art canvas with a full-colour printed design — no need to follow a chart on screen
- Czech Preciosa beads, 12 colours
- Beading needles
- Instructions and a mounting diagram
Specifications
- Size: 230×300 mm (9.0×11.8 in)
- Beads: approx. 8,582
- Bead colours: 12
- Base: art canvas
- Difficulty: simple
The 230×300 mm vertical fits a standard narrow moulding. The canvas shows at once where the beaded part ends and the print begins, so it is almost impossible to go wrong with the borders, even on a first beaded icon. A finished icon is usually set in a carved moulding, purchased separately.
