Stickvorlage für Perlenstickerei (Kunstleinwand, ohne Perlen) „Abendpromenade“
Beschreibung
“Evening Promenade” — a lone figure with an umbrella on a wet boulevard, a wrought-iron lamp and a tree in fiery autumn leaf. The city after rain, all reflections.
What the picture shows
At the centre stands a tall black lamp post with two lanterns and openwork brackets — the darkest and sharpest shape in the piece. To the right rises the trunk of a large tree whose crown blazes orange, red, yellow and blue across the top of the canvas. A low boulevard railing runs behind in blue and lilac tones, with the greenery of the park beyond it. A small figure walks under the tree beneath an umbrella, and the pavement below is wet and full of long streaks of colour. The picture is painted in broad palette-knife strokes. The stitching is partial: beads cover the lamp post, the railing, the figure with the umbrella, the reflections on the pavement and part of the foliage, while the thickly painted crown and sky stay printed.
