What the picture shows

A decorative frame of scrollwork with round rosettes in the upper corners runs around the edge, and there is a cartouche at the bottom. The beading is partial: the figure, halo, veil, robe and border are worked in beads, while the soft cream background with its printed foliate pattern stays as it is on the canvas and keeps the image airy.
