What the picture shows

The jug is transparent with a wide handle, and the green stems show through the glass. Yellow daisy-like flowers with green centres dominate the bouquet, alongside pink and crimson blooms and a sprig of small yellow buds. A woven basket with pink-red peaches stands at the lower left, two yellow pears lie next to it and another peach sits on the right. The table is covered with a blue-and-white checked cloth. The background is a soft pastel blur that hints at a distant landscape. The beadwork is partial: the flowers, the jug, the fruit, the basket and part of the cloth are beaded, while the blurred background stays as print on the canvas.
