Descripción
Collar “Citrus Tenderness” is a pale collar with lemons and white blossom.
What the picture shows
A lemon branch is laid over a cream-white ground: yellow fruit with a russet side, dark green and turquoise leaves, and white blossoms with yellow centres. The motif repeats on both halves, so the pattern reads symmetrically, while towards the top the branches grow finer and turn into leaves alone. The ground is worked in pale beads, which brings the greenery and the lemons forward. The canvas is covered completely and the edge is outlined with a fine row. Twenty-one colours: several gradations of green from near emerald to mint, and three shades of yellow on the fruit. Three lemons are placed on each half, so the pattern never looks overloaded.
