Kit de point de croix compté « Barque »

“Boat” shows two figures in a gondola on dark water, with a scatter of translucent circles instead of a background. A quiet, almost graphic design.

What the picture shows

The black silhouette of a gondola with a high prow and stern stretches across the full width, with two figures seated facing each other. A mirror reflection lies beneath the boat, and the water reads as a few horizontal strokes. The background is built of overlapping circles — pale blue, smoky grey, powder pink and cream, each carrying its own lace pattern inside. The whole area is worked in cross stitch, so the picture comes out dense and even. There are dozens of circles of different sizes, partly transparent, overlapping one another like soap bubbles.

The horizontal 400×300 mm format suits a spot above a sofa or in a bedroom, next to other pieces of similarly restrained colour. Frame it without a mount or with a narrow one; the frame is bought separately. Nineteen colours across a 400×300 mm format make a large piece by area but an easy one to count.
