“Clematis in jug” shows a blue jug of clematis with a cup of violets beside it.

What the picture shows

The clematis flowers are worked in pink, lilac, blue and white; they surround the jug on every side, while thin shoots with small leaves hang down and reach to the right. The jug is pale blue, with a tall handle and a wide body, and almost merges with the flowers. In front of it a small blue cup on a saucer is filled with dark red and purple violets. The table is pink-lilac. Light yellow canvas shows in the corners and is left unstitched.
