Bookmark kits (bead embroidery)

Bead embroidery bookmark kits are 6 designs in the narrow 61×192 mm format on artist canvas with the full-colour pattern printed on it. They use Czech Preciosa beads in 5–8 colours and are rated medium.

What is included

The printed canvas, Preciosa beads sorted by colour, a needle, the findings for finishing and illustrated instructions.

Subjects

Religious designs (3 kits), animals and birds (2), insects (1). The religious bookmarks are often chosen for a prayer book.

How long does a beaded bookmark take?

10–20 hours: narrow as it is, the 192 mm length adds up to a real area of beading.

Will it damage the book?

The finished piece is slim but denser than a paper bookmark, so avoid forcing it into the spine of a thin book.
