Description

“Making dreams come true!” is five multicoloured balloons on thin strings. A simple party card in which all the work is circles.

What the picture shows

The balloons are set out in two rows: three above, two slightly lower. Each is worked as a mosaic with no fixed pattern — pink, yellow-green, yellow, pale blue and lilac beads mixed so that no balloon repeats its neighbour, with a lighter rim running round the edge. The largest, in the middle of the upper row, carries a blue-green patch at its centre. The strings they hang from stay as fine printing and curl away downwards. Below them “happy birthday” is printed in a handwritten face on the white field. The white ground is left unbeaded — all eight bead colours go into the balloons, and it is the balloons that hold the composition together.
