Esquema de icono para bordar con abalorios sobre lienzo artístico (sin abalorios) «San Sergio»

“St. Sergius” — a grey-haired saint with his hand raised in blessing, against monastery domes.

What the picture shows

The saint is shown half-length, with a high forehead, grey hair and a long white beard. His right hand is raised in blessing. His garment is green, with a large green cross and gold bands across the breast, and a dark brown mantle over it. Behind his shoulders stands a church with green domes and gilded crosses, with brown slopes on either side. The halo is gold, built from even concentric rings. A brown-and-gold foliate border runs around the edge, with rosettes in the upper corners and a cartouche below. The beading is partial: figure, garments, church, slopes, halo and frame are beaded, while the cream printed background is left open.
