What the picture shows

The heart is worked in several shades of red — from deep cherry at the edges to a lighter, almost brick tone inside — and these transitions give the shape volume instead of leaving it a flat sticker. The imprints of the hand and foot are stitched in warm flesh and cream beads with small pale flecks that convey the texture of skin; all five fingers read clearly on the palm.
