Description
“Guardian of the Christmas Miracle” is a folk-style angel with large green wings, hands folded in prayer and a Christmas tree on the hem of the robe.
What the picture shows
The angel stands right in the centre of the square. It has reddish-chestnut hair, closed eyes, rosy cheeks and a golden halo with rays. A black and white ruffled collar frames the neck, the robe is red-orange with small dots and leaves, and the palms are pressed together in prayer. The wings are large, in two shades of green, painted with twigs and leaves. A green Christmas tree with white specks of snow sits on the hem, with yellow flowers and dark leaves on either side. The background is a calm light grey, with white twigs and red berries winding across it.
The drawing is flat, with no shadows or gradients, like a greeting card or a painted wooden toy. Most areas are large and clearly outlined, so the picture is easy to paint even with no experience. Only the small dots on the robe and the berries on the background ask for care.

Thirteen paints and clear outlines make the kit a good choice for a first paint-by-numbers picture or for painting together with a child. It is easy to start with the grey background and the large planes of the wings, and leave the dots and berries for the end. The canvas is already stretched, so once the varnish is dry the painting can go straight on the wall. The easel, candles, pine cones, fir branches and ceramic houses in the photos are props for the shoot and are not part of the kit.
