Opis
“St. Alexandra” is an empress in a green headdress with pearl strands. Green, red and gold in a dense pattern.
What the picture shows
The saint stands frontally in a tall green headdress with long strands of white pearls falling from it. Her outer robe is deep red with wide green sleeves and a gold edge, worked in fine beads in several rows. Her raised right hand holds a small pale cross. The halo is amber and the ground is golden rays. The canvas is edged with a narrow gold band with red accents at the corners; a rectangular name plaque takes up the lower part. The headdress, the robe, the ring of the halo and the border are beaded; the face, the hands and the gold ground are left to the print.
