“Did they fly?” shows a teddy bear holding a bunch of flowers that is about to lift him off the ground.

What the picture shows

The bear is worked in brown with russet half-tones and wears a turquoise knitted jumper with a red band along the hem and a small blue hat. It grips a tied bunch with both paws: thin blue stems fan out and carry small flowers in pink, raspberry, cream and lilac, along with butterflies of every colour, from a large orange one at the top to tiny violet ones at the side. The light blue Aida works as the background, scattered with white slanted strokes of wind and a few low clouds. Twenty floss colours go mostly into the bunch and the butterflies, while the bear itself rests on a few shades of brown. The bear sits low in the circle, so the bunch fills nearly the whole field above it.
