Description
“Tradition in Beads” is a bracelet with a geometric ornament in black and white, worked on art canvas. Three bead colours, about 1,385 beads, simple level.
What the picture shows
The ornament is built from diamonds set one inside another: a light outline on a dark ground, with a smaller diamond and a cross inside each. The rows run the full length of the band without a break, so the pattern reads as an endless ribbon, exactly as in folk weaving. The palette rests on three colours — black, white and grey — which keeps the piece graphic and suits both daytime and evening wear. The ends of the band are closed with metal clamps carrying a hook and a chain for adjusting the length.
