Description
“Beauty of the Stars” is a bracelet with a gold floral ornament on a deep navy ground, finished with microbeads and glass bicones. Eleven colours, about 1,462 beads.
What the picture shows
A gold ornament winds across a deep, almost nocturnal navy ground: curving shoots, spirals and small stars scattered between them. The gold runs through several shades, from sand to deep bronze, so the pattern never flattens and instead shimmers like goldwork on velvet. The navy ground is stitched solidly and stays even, which makes the gold lines read especially clearly. Seven glass bicones are set at key points of the ornament and catch the light at a different angle from the beads — they are what give the piece its living sparkle.
