“Playful cats” is a cushion kit on dark blue fabric: white cats in knitted jumpers among balls of yarn and ribbons. With Czech Preciosa beads in two shades.

What the picture shows

Several white cats are placed across the whole field in different poses: one sits above holding a ball of yarn with a paw, another lies on its side, a third is curled up below, and one more peers out from behind a ribbon. All of them wear knitted jumpers and hats patterned in red, white and blue — the clothing is what carries the colour on a dark ground. Long ribbons and yarn trails wind between the cats and tie the figures into one composition. A white sign with a black cat is stitched at the lower right. The dark blue fabric is only partly covered and remains as the ground, so the white cats glow against it.
