Description
“Little One of Moonlit Legends” is a turquoise baby dragon asleep, curled on a golden crescent moon.
What the picture shows
The painting is square, on a deep black background. The crescent fills almost the whole canvas: golden-ochre and covered edge to edge with carved foliage ornament of curls and spirals, as if turned from wood. In its curve sleeps a small dragon: the body turquoise with dark scales along the back, one wing folded and half-transparent, the little horns pale, the paws tucked in, the tail wrapping the lower tip of the moon. The eyes are closed and the face is calm and childlike. Golden stars in two sizes and small dots are scattered around, so the black background never feels empty.
