String Art Kit "Nice kitty"
Description
“Nice kitty” is a white kitten wrapped in a garland with coloured baubles.
What the picture shows
The kitten sits facing you, its tail curled to one side and its ears large and pointed. The body is wound in white and pale grey thread, with the chest denser so it looks fluffier. An LED garland is thrown across the body on the diagonal, and thirteen coloured baubles hang from it — pink, yellow, green and pale blue. The kitten wears a red bow on its head and a small gold star. The kit holds six thread colours, 87 m in all, one of the longest lengths in the range.
What is in the kit
- A wooden board, 190×290 mm
- Nails for marking out the outline
- Thread, 6 colours, 87 m in total
- A paper template and step-by-step instructions
- An LED garland with a power supply unit
- Decorative New Year baubles — 13 pcs
Specifications
- Article: ABC-022
- Board size: 190×290 mm (7.48×11.42 in)
- Thread colours: 6
- Total thread length: 87 m
- Difficulty: average
- Technique: string art — nails and stretched thread
The board is 190×290 mm (7.48×11.42 in) and the kitten fills almost all of it. The work is long: the white filling has to be kept even, or thin patches show. The panel goes up for the holidays and usually stays through the winter. The panel is hung on the wall as it is: string art needs no frame and no glass. The paper template is laid over the board and the nails are driven straight through it at the marks. The kit holds 87 m of thread, and the work usually takes an evening or two.
