Description
“Christmas Treat” is a diamond-shaped 3D hanging with a gingerbread house on coffee Aida. Seven colours — the richest palette among the small ornaments.
What the picture shows
A gingerbread house stands at the centre of the diamond: brown walls with two windows in white frames, a red door, a roof with a scalloped edge imitating icing, and a white wavy glaze line down its slopes. Red snowflakes and small crosses are scattered above the roof and to either side. Red stars fill the corners of the diamond. The coffee-coloured fabric is left unstitched — its colour does the work of the dough, which is why the house looks genuinely baked rather than drawn. A red tassel is fixed below, a white ribbon hanger above.

Here the colour of the fabric is a material rather than a background: on white, the gingerbread would not read at all. The seven colours are spent on the icing details, not on the building itself.
