Description
“Frosty Ornament” is a diamond-shaped 3D hanging: a blue eight-pointed star on white Aida. The finished ornament is stuffed with hollow fibre.
What the picture shows
A large eight-pointed star is worked at the centre of the diamond — the same motif found on Scandinavian jumpers: the rays are built from small steps, with a dense diamond at the core. Smaller stars and corner triangles are placed symmetrically around it, filling the corners of the diamond. The blue runs in two shades: the darker holds the outline, the lighter fills the inner planes, so the ornament never flattens. The white fabric between the motifs stays open and reads as snow. The perimeter is edged with overcasting, a pale blue tassel is fixed below and a ribbon hanger above.
