Description
“Holiday bells” is a diamond-shaped 3D hanging with a red and green ornament in the Nordic manner. The brightest of the small ornaments in the series.
What the picture shows
The upper half of the diamond carries a dense red ornament: symmetrical hooked motifs resembling stylised bells or antlers, worked in two shades of red with white gaps between them. The lower half is lighter: a green fir with even tiers of branches stands on a white ground, flanked by small red triangles. A straight row of stitching marks the boundary between the halves. The palette runs to only five colours, but the contrast of red, green and white makes the ornament visible even on a densely dressed tree. A red tassel hangs below, a ribbon above.
