What the picture shows

The canvas is square and the subject is laid out on a diagonal: the house on the left, the road on the right running back towards the hills. The cottage has several red tiled slopes, a tall brick chimney with a thin thread of smoke and a pink gable with a small window. In front of it stand a white picket fence, a bush with pink flowers, yellow marigolds and a mixed flower bed.
