Bead Embroidery Postcard Kit "Miss you – 1"
Description
Miss you – 1 shows a shaggy grey-and-white puppy looking over a white fence, with a thick bed of garden flowers below.
What the picture shows
The lower third of the piece is filled with large blooms: red, orange, pink and lilac peonies, each worked as a dense spiral, with dark green leaves between them. The fence is shown as vertical rows of white and grey beads. The puppy’s face stays as print — the black nose and shaggy coat are visible, and only the ears and outline are beaded. A band of red and white beads runs along the top and acts as a frame inside the picture. The pale ground is left bare. Of the 9 colours the red-pink group dominates. The peonies below are worked first, starting with the largest, since they decide where the fence ends. The band of red and white beads along the top is left until last — it acts as a frame and has to run straight.
