Description
“Traditional” is a towel with a classic Ukrainian floral ornament in red and green. Eight colours of DMC floss.
What the picture shows
The main motif is gathered into a dense rectangular bouquet: large red flowers with dark centres alternate with small buds, with dark green leaves and slender stems between them. The composition is symmetrical about the vertical axis, as a towel ornament should be. Below, a border of the same flowers in a smaller scale runs the full width along a wavy branch. The red works in two shades, bright and deep cherry, so the bouquet never flattens. The fabric is white, with fringe at the edge.
