Cross Stitch Kit "A treat for the elves"
Description
“A treat for the elves” is not a picture but a working advent calendar: 24 numbered positions, each taking one of the wooden rings supplied. The largest piece in this group, 400×600 mm.
What the picture shows
At the centre an elf grandmother sits in an armchair in a green cap with a red pompom and a red jumper, holding a large dish of biscuits, while two small elves in striped stockings reach up for the treat at her feet. Twenty-four numbers, stitched in red, are placed around the scene across the whole field in no particular order — the rings are fixed beneath them. A double border frames the composition: an inner gold line and an outer band of fir trees, hearts, holly and small flowers. The ground is white and unstitched.
