Description

“Thirst for adventure” — a turquoise retro van on a forest road with misty mountains ahead.

What the picture shows

The van stands in the middle of the lower third: a rounded turquoise body with a white top and a roof rack, dark wheels and a warm highlight along the side. The road beneath is stony, with puddles. Firs stand like a wall on both sides, from almost black in front to smoky blue in the distance; rocky slopes rise above them, lit by the orange light of a low sun. Bushes and ferns in terracotta and blue are scattered closer to the viewer. Twenty-seven thread colours across 110 m, half of them gradations of green and blue. The fabric at the corners is left plain. The van is parked rather than moving: the wheels are still, and the whole scene reads as a stop along the way.
