“I’ll Draw You the Stars” is a girl in a starry robe holding a star in her palm, with a black cat beside her and a large golden moon glowing behind them.
What the picture shows
The girl is shown in profile, eyes closed and hair gathered in a high knot. She holds out her hand, and a golden star rests on her palm. Her wide robe is covered in patterns of moons, stars and curls in blue, turquoise, gold and pearl. A black cat sits beside her and looks up as well. Behind them rises a huge golden crescent moon with an ornament of flowers and dark blue twigs. Stars, planets and baubles hang on threads from the top, golden dots are scattered across the dark grey sky, and turquoise waves run along the bottom.
The beading is partial. Beads trace the outlines of the robe, the hair, the moon, the hanging ornaments, the stars and the waves, and the cat is outlined in black and brown beads. The face, the hand and part of the sky stay printed on the canvas. Gold on the dark background has a festive sparkle, so the piece looks good in a bedroom as well as in a child’s room. There are only 12 colours and about 3,160 beads, and the level is simple.

The pattern is printed straight on the canvas, so there is no counting. It is easy to start with the moon, where the golden rows run in long arcs, then stitch the robe and the cat, and leave the small stars and hanging ornaments for the end. Gallery finishing is provided for, with no frame and no mat. The frame, globe, lamp, books, mug, cushions, stars, crystals and beads in the photos are props for the shoot and are not part of the kit.
