«St. Veronica» shows the righteous woman unfolding the cloth with the Holy Face crowned with thorns — the most narrative image in the batch.
What the picture shows
The saint stands frontally and unfolds a white cloth before her in both hands. On it is the Face of the Saviour in a crown of thorns, with long hair and beard; this is the main detail, and every line leads to it. A white-and-blue veil covers her head, a red maphorion over it, a blue gown beneath. The halo is golden, with a beaded ornamental arch and the name cartouche above. Both faces and the hands remain printed on the canvas, as does the embossed ground — the beading is not solid.

The bead colours are matched to the print, so the stitched part does not argue with the ground but joins it; at the border the shades pass over softly, without a hard seam.
