Description

“At the foot of the mountain” shows peaks, a forest and a tent in the valley.

What the picture shows

The composition is built in tiers. Sharp peaks stand at the top, wound in blue and white thread, with more white on the slopes so that snow reads clearly. Below runs a dark green band of firs — each tree a triangle, all of them standing in a close row. An orange and yellow tent glows in the valley, the brightest patch in the whole piece; an LED garland is laid beside it, so in the evening it looks lit from inside. The foreground is brown and darker — the slope the viewer is standing on. There are eight thread colours, 73 m in all.

What is in the kit

  • A wooden board, 190×290 mm
  • Nails for marking out the outline
  • Thread, 8 colours, 73 m in total
  • A paper template and step-by-step instructions
  • An LED garland with a power supply unit

Specifications

  • Article: ABC-030
  • Board size: 190×290 mm (7.48×11.42 in)
  • Thread colours: 8
  • Total thread length: 73 m
  • Difficulty: average
  • Technique: string art — nails and stretched thread

The board is 190×290 mm (7.48×11.42 in). Eight colours and several planes make this piece longer to do than most kits in the range. The panel hangs on the wall without a frame. The panel is hung on the wall as it is: string art needs no frame and no glass. The paper template is laid over the board and the nails are driven straight through it at the marks.
