Description
“Autumn Mystery” is a jack-o’-lantern in a black witch hat among autumn leaves.
What the picture shows
An orange pumpkin with a carved grin and triangular eyes sits under a large black hat dotted with orange, the hat band held by a buckle and the curled tip thrown to one side. Maple leaves, wheat ears and small pumpkins lie around it in warm shades from ochre to dark brick, and bats fly above. The white canvas stays as the background, so the orange glow of the pumpkin reads as the brightest patch of the piece.
