Description
“Taste of Summer” is a jar of honey, blueberries and biscuits on a table: a small still life about summer preserves.
What the picture shows
A tall jar of thick golden honey tied with a blue and white ribbon stands in the centre, next to a glass jar of blueberries under a checked lid. A little stack of round biscuits lies in front, with berries and small lilac flowers scattered around. Twigs and leaves worked as lines only fill the upper part of the picture. The ecru canvas stays as the background and adds a warm tone to the whole scene. The honey is worked in three yellows with a highlight down the middle of the jar, the berries in dark blue and violet with pale dots. The kit holds 61 m of thread.
